Re: Boston Whaler 320 Outrage Feedback Needed
My neighbor has the Outrage Cuddy with 275-HP engines. He loves it for offshore fishing in the Gulf. It runs [very fast].

I've seen one locally that had round pieces of stainless and holes for the screws for each of the rail attachment locations.

Re: Boston Whaler Introduces the 2018 170 MONTAUK
While at [a Boston Whaler dealer located in] Longboat Key, Florida I tried to get a look at the new 2018 170 MONTAUK. The only 2018 170 MONTAUK boat that dealer had was already sold. The [Boston Whaler dealer in Longboat Key, Florida] was very interested in steering me toward buying a leftover pre-2...

Re: SHALLOW RUNNING
I've seen one jet outboard down here in thirteen years. Most everyone runs an outboard with a jackplate or a boat that funnels the water up to a raised motor.

Re: Mercury Verado 400 HP Engines
Horsepower and money are funny things. I have a customer on our little island that had to be the first to get the 400R on his little boat. It raised the top speed by only 6-natucial-miles-per-hour. The improvement for them was to have a cruise speed just under 50 with almost 3-MPG. For that they spe...

Re: Whaler Family Tree
bought a 1968 13' Whaler about twenty years ago for my wife to get to the beach. Sold it to our boat hauler for his kids. Picked up an 18'Outrage from one of my customers before leaving Massachusetts for Florida. Ran the hell out of that boat for close to ten years. Sold it when I found a Dauntless ...

Re: Hull Damage Worth Repair
This family started with Boston Whaler very early on and branched out on their own:

I am not sure if they are still in business and I've been out of the area for over ten years.

Re: 2004 DAUNTLESS 220 Leaking Drains
The same [leaking] happened on my 2002 Dauntless 220. I switched to bronze from plastic [for the replacement drain].

Cushions for 220 Dauntless 2002 and older
I did a little home work on Boston Whaler's website and found that many of the cushions on my 2002 220 Dauntless match the 1998 to 2001 18 Dauntless part numbers. I matched numbers for the rear bench seat and two seat backs. Also the RPS seat back. I ordered the new cushions through Specialty Marine...

Good platform for bay and near coastal. off shore you will have to pick your days. The boat will handle more than you will. You have to judge the seas that you and your passengers will be comfortable with.

Re: Miami Internation Boat Show 2016
test drove the new 330 outrage today. Overall the thing was admirable. Not sold on the digital steering. took some getting used to , especially at slow speeds. ran it up to 34 kts going with the 2.5' seas. When we came about and ran into the waves the salesman had me bring it up into the 40s. the bo...
