For a similar situation, ask all the Mercury VERADO FOURSTROKE in-line four-cylinder engine owners how they were affected when Mercury stopped making their engine. [The stencil number on a 1971 Boston Whaler OUTRAGE 21 is] located in the rear sump (drain) area). Look under the rear deck. There is a sump area. The stencil should be right on the front of it. Not sure if more cubes could be added to that particular block. It may have been touted as big displacement for the power. A dubious enough...

A 1972 19 does not have a Norman pin that I can think of. Ive owned a few of this model and am not sure what you are referring to.

I would contact Sue Lodel at Twin Cities Marine for any OEM parts. She is a great resource and can likely get you what you need or point you in the right direction.

Here are some threads that contain info on a Ribside Outrage running a 90hp E-Tec - Says 34mph top end - These boats can run on a single 65 hp outboard (minimum hp requirement). It really depends on what your expectations for speed and performance are. http://continuouswave.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/01973...

GTX was available as Sterndrive and Outboard. The difference between the Outrage and the GTX is primarily the interior. The GTX is a bow-rider style pleasure boat with two consoles and the Outrage is a center console. The Outrage will have a higher market value than the GTX.
