Nice looking combination. It would be worth it to invest in a stainless steel propeller. Check here on what others have used but the BRP Rebel may be a good choice in the same pitch as the alumimum you have now.

That engine was rated 120 HP at the propeller shaft. If in good working order, it should push the boat to 40+ MPH. Have you done a compression check? The 3rd video shows the Outrage 25 moving along at 35 MPH and getting 3.4 MPG. I don't know what an Outrage 25 gets with other modern fuel efficient motors at that speed but that seems like an outstanding efficiency. My 25 foot Pursuit with fuel efficient twin 150s gets about 2.4 MPG at best.

Some sources are indicating that a 25 inch 150 is more than 500 lbs. If that is true, that is disappointing. I would not be able to able to hang a pair of these on my boat.

I have two of the HPDI 150 engines. Advice: make sure you have a boat-mounted fuel-water separator that is maintained regularly. The HPDI fuel system is very sensitive to contamination.

To some extent it also depends on what 90 HP outboard is on the transom. An Evinrude 90 (V4, 99 cubic inches) would be a far better choice than a Yamaha 90 (Inline 3, 69 cubic inches). Your 1988 SPL weighs about 300 lbs. The three-cylinder E-TEC 90 is about 320-lbs and the 90 H.O. is about 405-lbs. If I were in your position, I'd go with the three-cylinder model.

Apparently the time variable gain optimization feature was not used by Garmin.

They all do the same job as far as charting and fish finding go. Don't skimp on the transducer if you are looking for fish.
