Re: Montauk Navigation Lamp Wiring
I connected the wires together ad no matter the polarity, it doesn't work. The fuses look good and the bulb looks good. The bow lights are on the same switch and they work.

Navigation Lamp Wiring
I am not a very experienced handyman and know little about wiring and electrical. I do like to try to work on things though. I bought a new [white all-round lamp] from Boston Whaler [for a MONTAUK 17 boat]. I need help to wire it to the existing wiring. The lamp came with a quick connect, so that is...

Re: 170 Montauk E-TEC 90
Why not go with the new Mercury 115 FOUSTROKE? It has tons of mid-range power, larger displacement, and is lighter than the [E-TEC H.O.]

MONTAUK: Custom Split Bow Rail
I can have custom bow rails made from someone who makes a lot of stainless for Boston Whaler boats. I have a 1977 Montauk 17 with no bow rails. The only thing keeping me from them is some people have mentioned how hard it is to board the boat. The fabricator told me today that he can make me a set o...

NAUSET, EASTPORT or SAKONNET Stern Seats
Has anyone used [a wooden bench stern seat for a NAUSET, EASTPORT, or SAKONNET 16-footer]? I have searched but haven't really found any mention of [wooden bench stern seats for a NAUSET, EASTPORT, or SAKONNET 16-footer]. I see that most [NAUSET, EASTPORT, or SAKONNET 16-footers] do not have stern se...

1977 Montauk Fuel Tank Location
I just bought my first [Boston Whaler boat], a restored 1977 Montauk. I am going to add the rear bench seat, cushions[,] and a couple of other miscellaneous things. The previous owner had the fuel tank mounted [farther] aft so that he could [more easily] fit PFD's under the [reversible pilot seat--s...
