Re: Removing Water From Fuel Tank
Dario, I have owned a 1975 Revenge since it was new and I am sure we can help you with your tank....whatever the concern is. But some more info would help a lot. Q3: How much water are you discovering and how often, and where are you finding it? Fot example, are you finding it in the bottom of a gla...

Re: Overhaul Fuel Delivery on 1987 REVENGE 22
I used to own an 1990 Revenge 22 with twin Johnson 120 hp outboards on a conventional transom (no Whaler Drive). When I bought it in 2012, I decided to change the fuel hoses on principle since the former owner said he never did. Tank & Hose R&R 3a.jpg The original configuration of my...

Re: Method of Indicating Federal Hull Identification number
We are original owners of a 1975 Revenge 19, [with federal HIN] BWCA8801M75A.
Age has removed the "BWCA" and "M" from view. Plate is mounted on port side upper transom exterior. FYI stencil number is 000681.

I currently own a 1973 Outrage 19. The hull number is engraved on the transom in the upper port side. The number BWCA81730373 is shown in this pic:

Re: Method of Indicating Federal Hull Identification number
I owned a 1990 Revenge 22 for about 10 years but sold it in 2019. The hull number, BWC5H823G990, was on a metal tag riveted to the upper starboard transom. Here is a pic:

Re: 1974 OUTRAGE: Identify Bolts in Motor Well; Adhesive Used to Join Hull Sections
Steve, one more hint to make your job less risky. When the superstructure is removed, it is very flimsy because the gunwales are only tied in at the forward sides where the small deck is. To provide better stability and avoid cracking the superstructure when lifting, we put a 2x4 across the two ster...

Re: 1974 OUTRAGE: Identify Bolts in Motor Well; Adhesive Used to Join Hull Sections
By the way, I forgot to answer your question on the bolts in the splashwell: They are a mystery to me. The splashwell and stern area should have no bolts in it on the sides or bottoms. They must have been put there to hold something down by a previous owner. The only thing in the fishwell are two ey...

Sunny: I have a 1973 Outrage 19, and my son owned a 1974 Revenge 19. We removed the superstructure and reinstalled as part of a restoration. I believe both configurations are identical even though the "superstructure" of those models is different....ie the Outrage has just the gunwales on ...

Given the age of the boat and fuel tank, and water in the fuel tank: ⋅ You ought to pull the tank deck cover. Not only do you need to replace the fuel lines (for existing tank or replacement tank), but you need to do an air test. You must determine if the tank itself is leaking, either at ...

Re: 1993 Evinrude 48-HP High-speed Lean: Eventually Solved
OS&U: Congratulations. There is hardly a better feeling than when the old outboard is running well again. So I must tell you my story, and it has to do with your observation that new parts sometime are not functional like we assume they are. My son's 1977 Evinrude 140 (V4) is a very good engine....

Re: Squall 9: Owner's Manual; Sails, Mast
I have a zip file of 47 Whaler Squall drawings that I would be glad to send to anyone who wants it. It also has drawings of the mast, sprit tubes,...

Jim, I agree that the number is likely original and the person who repainted the boat preserved the original number. I have done the same thing to Whaler 13's I have restored. Re: Name on side of the boat
I believe one should do whatever makes one happy, since all vinyl letters can be easily removed if the boat is to be sold or you want to change the name. It is nice to have a name that means something to you (the owner, wife, or owner's family). Boat naming can be an artistic endeavor, with colors, ...

Transfueler--I believe you have accurately identified the reasonable choices and horsepowers. To bound your choices and confirm, I offer my experience on my 1975 Revenge 19. Re: 1989 Evinrude 225 No Spark
For graphic description of these flywheel magnets, I have attached a pic from my nephew's Evinrude 225 (not sure what year it is, but around 1990). It appears one magnet came loose and jammed in between the stator or stationary engine block, then took out the rest like dominoes.

Re: 1989 Evinrude 225
I don't know what the part is you are asking about. OMC sells epoxy for gluing the magnets of the V6 engines. It is P/N 431929. If you need a magnet and epoxy, it is P/N 584304. There are a lot of search results if you Google OMC V6 magnets. Loose magnets apparently are not an uncommon failure after...

Re: Reducing Engine Noise
Back in 1985, I bought a new Evinrude 150-HP V6 for my Revenge 19. We could not con...
