I wanted to follow up now that I have spent some time with this new Suzuki DF30A on my 1976 Sport 13. I really enjoy this engine. Smooth, quiet, plenty of acceleration and power for me. GPS top speed of 31.4 mph today. I cannot ask for more. We are enjoying summer weather this October in Michigan. Bob

I just repowered my 1976 Sport 13 and added Teleflex NFB Safe-T rotary steering. I ordered mine from West Marine. I followed Teleflex recommendations and ordered a 10' cable. It works fine, but the cable sticks out past the transom 2 inches. I'm thinking a 9 foot cable would be perfect...but you can...
