Thank you for the response. I find it hard to believe that there is not suppose to be something in these holes. They are all about the same size and all exactly the same screws cam out, however they were not screwed into anything.

Hi all, I have a 1995 Montauk that i Just remover the bow rail on. When i remover it the top supports seam to not be screwed into anything. They were just silicone in :-(. The engine turned 5500-RPM and the GPS receiver showed 43.5-nautical-miles-per-hour. It was a nice light chop on the water, trimmed up well, about 6-gallons of fuel, and just me at 230-lbs.

I moved the motor down one hole, and that seemed to help things out a bit. Thank you everyone for your help in this matter.
