Re: Re-core rotten deck cover
Thanks [Phil]. I called a local marina with a very reputable fiberglass shop for a ballpark estimate to fix this, and they quoted $4,500.
So, if I end up with the boat, I'll be doing the repair myself.

Re-core rotten deck cover
I'm looking at an older 25' Whaler and the hatch covering the fuel tank has too much flex, is clearly rotten, and needs to be fixed. I tried the search function here but couldn't find much on it, but I'm not sure I'm using the proper search words. Is there a thread, or a place that you guys can poin...

Outrage 25 Whaler Drive with Single Engine
My 1989 Outrage 25 Cuddy with Whaler Drive is currently powered with twin original Johnson 150-HP outboards. I eventually plan on re-powering with a single outboard, probably a single 300-HP four-stroke-power-cycle engine. Even though these 1989 Johnson 150 engines are quite light for their horsepow...

I've ordered from Marinepartdepot.com before. You'll eventually get what you ordered, but in at least 20 attempts, I've never received either an email or phone reply.
They simply won't respond.
The only way you'll get attention is to dispute a Paypal payment and file a claim.

Took the new 15' out for her maiden voyage. With myself and girlfriend, she hit 32mph. The engine is mounted all the way down, so perhaps the 48hp can be raised, but there's no tach onboard so I don't know if it's the right prop..

Without pics and more detail, probably under $2000. Maybe less. An engine that old with low compression has little value.
