I used this website [i.e., CONTINUOUSWAVE.COM] tremendously during the restoration of my 1988 15-footer. I highly recommend the three-piece set up available from Twin Cities. Re: Production Epoch for 15-foot 3-inch Hull
Sure looks like a 15 to me. If it's a 'splashed' copy somebody went to some great lengths to copy it. I'd be willing to bet a few bucks that it is in fact a Boston Whaler. The owner may be "cagey" about the hull ID# because the boat may have been stolen at one time. Perhaps there was somet...

There is a ton of info on this site about getting the most performance out of the classic 13 Whaler. I would imagine if there was a boating accident where there was significant injury or death as a result, things could get ugly real quick. If a boat involved was 'over-powered' above it's coast guard rating, I'd be willing to bet the lawyers would circle in on that like vultures. For that reason alo...

I have a 1986 Boston Whaler 18 Outrage with a 115 HP Evinrude E-TEC. I am very happy with its power to weigh ratio. With h half-full fuel tank and two aboard, the boat hits 40-MPH. Another thing to consider is, that if this boat spent its life, or the vast majority of it, in freshwater, I would feel pretty confident that the fuel tank is in (at least) reasonably good condition. Replacing the fuel tank on an 18 Outrage is costly, especially if you have to pay someone else to do...

I agree with Jim,
Here in Southern California that boat wouldn't last a day on the market . . . even for $12,000.00
One of the biggest attributes is that there is no bottom paint, which is increasingly difficult to find.
I will pass the word around, that boat won't last long.
Good luck with the sale.

One of the few reasons I like Southern California: my only winterization is a new tarp over the Whaler to keep the occasional rain-squall off her. Otherwise it is 365 days of Whaler action.

I've scheduled an appointment with the local Yamaha dealer/service center where I purchased and had the sensor installed.
The dealer is very close to my house, and since the part is $200 and has less than 100 hrs on it, I feel it's worth it.
