Re: Montauk and Striper

What a great question. I have owned a 2005 Montauk 17 and just purchased a 1978 striper 15 (and have an 05 305 conquest...a real whaler fan). It depends on the year but the stripers were designed to be bass boats and my model has the "smirk" hull with an 8" draft. It planes and turns ...

Re: How To Deduce Model Year

I found this forum to be helpful in my quest for the full HIN on my 15 striper. Here's my story - Although the Wisconsin state registration had only a partial HIN when I purchased the boat (for 15 years!) I live in California and needed the real info or they wouldn't register. I emailed whaler custo...

WTB- whaler 15 mahogany thwart seat

Just bought a 1982 whaler 15 and looking to buy a thwart seat to put in front of the helm. It's actually a striper and doesn't come with this but it's the one mod we will do to accommodate our crabbing. PM Me is you might have one for sale that fits the 15'3" hull. Thanks!

Re: 1989 Striper 15

Hi there. I just purchased an original 15 striper 1982. All original steaming, etc. this model was advertised as the fishing version with captains seat as a cooler and two other swivel seats. My pictures are too large to load but these two links could help. http://continuouswave.com/whaler/reference/...

Re: 1974 14-footer

Thanks that's helpful. It in fact is a 13'3" hull when he actually measured it. Sounds like the ones with the teak plank as a helm may not be the easiest. There is an old 15 which has a rare helm already, but unfortunately the gelcoat is completely worn away in all the wrong places and the guy ...

1974 14-footer

Hi all--I am new to this forum and already have a 305 CONQUEST. I am considering a 14- or 15-foot Boston Whaler boat to restore for small water crabbing. I will appreciate some advice. There is a 1974 14-foot hull available in good shape, but, of course, the helm consists of a single teak plank with...
