Re: A Whaler That Fits My Needs
Are you set on fiberglass? The weight restriction of your tow rig limits fiberglass but aluminum might be able to fit the bill. Aluminum is lighter, louder, and colder than fiberglass, and it doesn't ride quite as nicely. I have three kids under sux-years-old. I found that a boat without a pilothous...

This one might fit your needs and is already in California. The area under the bow is fairly roomy but not very high. Great place for the kiddo to play but not for adults to sit up in.

Use a clear polyurethane hose to temporarily to see if the milky fuel is coming from the tank. On a 1986 FRONTIER 25 there are twin Evinrude E-TEC 150-HP engines. At 4,100-RPM engine speed the boat speed is 34-MPH. At full throttle the engines accelerate to 5,400-RPM and the boat speed is 48-MPH. The propellers have 17-pitch. I don't have enough time yet for data on fuel burn at cruise. The b...

Remove the bolts. Use a grinder with a flat disk to remove fiberglass glass tapering away from the hole. Expect water in the transom core and that will mean more work. I'd probably use 2 part polyurethane foam since it'll expand to support the whole surface. If it does get water in the foam then it shouldn't affect the plastic like it would on aluminum tanks. 2 part expanding foam cures by chemical reaction and doesn't need to "air dry". Pour part A and ...

What type of loctite will you use to fill the holes in the wood? I probably wouldn’t use liquid nails but would use thickened epoxy. More speedy but it will have a better bond. Liquid nails will hold the wood fine until it’s glassed if you’re on a tight budget.

The Sentry 19 I had would not since its around 4000 lbs (guesstimating). Some other 19ft models just barely would work. Your tire tread will tell the real story if the wear is on the inside of the tire then the tires are splaying out too much.
