Re: A 170 Montauk for South Florida Boating

Q: Is there any element of your 170 MONTAUK boat that you describe as a prototype that differs from a regular production hull? The boat is identical to the one in the 2018 brochure and video ( according to the BW rep it is that boat) and the same base configuration as all the other 2018 170 Montauk...

Re: Buying Prototype Boat From Boston Whaler

What element of the boat you bought from an authorized Boston Whaler dealer makes you think this boat was built as a pre-production prototype hull? First of all because Alan LaRose told me how he had acquired my boat along with a prototype 150 and one other I don't remember from BW. Secondly the BW...

Re: Buying Prototype Boat From Boston Whaler

Who was the seller that you bought this "prototype BW boat" from? Where could others buy a prototype BW boat? It was purchased from MarineMax Cocoa FL. As I said it was technically a new 2017 demo boat. All factory warranties began on March 29, 2019, the day I purchased it. I'd be more th...

Buying Prototype Boat From Boston Whaler

I just purchased a 170 Montauk two months ago. It is one of the prototype Boston Whaler boats built for marketing and demos. It is stamped as a 2017 but is the new configuration and design. It was new when I purchased it and had 40-demo-hours on the 90hp Mercury. The boat is totally loaded with fact...

Re: 2019 170 MONTAUK Retail Prices

There is a big difference between the 2017 and [earlier] Montauk and the 2018 and newer Montauk. Dry weight is 1700-lbs, length is 17'4", beam is 7'3", option for 115-HP, 25-gallon built-in fuel tank, live well is now under the pilot seat which opens the entire back of the boat, a fish box...

Re: 2019 170 MONTAUK Retail Prices

PHIL--[The boat in question for this particular instance] is a leftover that's fully loaded except for the bow cushion. Boston Whaler is charging the dealer [$1,145] for an item that they list for [$729] if you include it in your build.

Re: How to contact Boston Whaler by Email

I have a deposit on a Montauk 170 right now. In going over my sales order I noticed there was no bow cushion listed and this is important to my wife. On the build [unclear, perhaps means as shown above in the first post the bow cushion] is listed as a $729 option. I asked [my dealer] to throw it in ...

Re: 2016 Montauk 150 Owner in Jacksonville

Greg
Did you get your 150? How do you like the options you got? Did you mount a trolling motor? How do you like the ride and overall performance of the boat so far. Looking to purchase the same model and would like to hear your thoughts. Thanks

Ready to purchase a new Montauk 150 and need opinions

Hello all, New person here. I'm very seriously looking at a new Montauk 150. I need a boat that will fit in my garage with a standard 7 foot tall door. Actual clearance would be 6'10" with door open. I will be using the boat in Florida mostly fishing in the inter coastal and areas like Mosquito...
