I ended up ordering the Moeller 22 gallon white tank. Not what I wanted but probably the wisest decision of the options available.

Project 13 Floor Repair - a novel approach
This weekend we completed sanding outside of hull and flipped the boat over for the first time in several months. While sizing up the project ahead, my son found what I believe everyone describes as a soft spot in the floor. The area is near the back of the boat and is about 6 inches x 12 inches. By...

That's one nice Snapper ConB. Not sure I could handle one that size.
Got me a stack full of Bass Pro Gift Cards, credit card points, etc. Gonna stick with Yetti since that's what they carry. Should about have enough to cover the 105.

Got the pic - thanks!. Looks like it is very close to same size as the Yeti 105. The Grizzly is 15 1/8 x 31 7/8 x17 7/8 high. the Yeti 105 is 16 3/8 by 29 1/4 x15 3/4 to bottom of lid. lid would add another 3 inches at least. (Not sure why they measure it that way) . Has anyone tried the [Yeti] 105 in front of the console of a classic Montauk? I like the height but concerned the shepherds crook might interfere with opening. It looks like it might have a slightly smaller footprint than the Igloo marine 90 which would be good given limited space up there. I am not...

I think it might be possible. Someone else more technically savvy than I should jump in here but you may not be in the optimum power band of the engine/prop combo at 75%. Increasing RPM's that final 25% MIGHT get you closer to where you think you should be. Which with a properly propped and function...

When I needed to take my Montauk off its trailer a few years ago, I found two sturdy trees in the yard slightly further apart than the trailer is wide. In my business we historically relied heavily upon US Geological Survey (USGS) 7.5 minute topographical maps. I've got flat file drawers full of them - each purchased for about 8-10 bucks apiece. Re: Removing Anti-fouling Bottom Paint Exposed Green Layer
Kind of thought that might have been the case. One point of clarification though, there was no anti fouling paint on the bottom. Just layer upon layer of very hard conventional paint. The newer top-coat was very tough to remove - may have been epoxy based. Not sure. Regardless, chemical stripper was...

I've had a 1977 Montauk 17 for the last 16-years and have become very comfortable with it in rough water, crossing wakes, waves, following seas, and so on.
