Engine Gauges Do Not Work
I have a 1989 18' Outrage with twin Johnson 70 HP engines. I bought the boat in the spring, to replace my old 1972 Sourpuss 13. I have no history on the vessel but did talk briefly with the former owner. I had found an old registration in the console. The 1989 Outrage boat ran absolutely perfect all...

davet--it's unfortunate that every Spring we see folks on boating sites that (unknowingly) bought a boat "cheap" that required significant work. The guys here won't steer you wrong, so pay attentio. Is there a chance you can find a marina that has what's called "dry stack". That ...

I wasn't sure how "bad" the off brand manuals were.
Sounds like the old Chilton's manuals: "Remove engine, rebuild to spec, replace engine...." ARGH!

Cooler for under RPS seat
I have a 1989 Outrage 18' that I'm continuing to optimize storage.
Upon measuring underneath the RPS seat, a cooler of ~ 31"X18" would work, but the tougher number is the 14" height.
What are folks using underneath their (stock) RPS seat for a cooler?
Thanks,
Pete
