Re: Preparing Nantucket 190 for Saltwater

Believe the post about replacing thru-hull fitting. My 2004 was a mint boat 170 hours, but the thru hulls were cracked upon close inspection. You do not want water to get to the transom. I personally did not like the Optimax. Mechanical nightmare. Very noisy. Good luck. 2004 Nantucket 190 is a very ...

Re: Considering selling my 2004 Nantucket with new G2 150hp

Hi Phil, I still have a Viper 18P. I get 44-46 mph WOT depending on water conditions, I can tweak some more but I normally just use the ETEC G2 Auto Trim feature. Lots of hole shot. If we end up keeping I will be trying some 4 blade props for a lower cruise speed. Still have to raise motor one more ...

Re: Outrage 17 II v. Dauntless 16

Here in NW Florida I tried a Dauntless, Montauk and Outrage. Here we have a large saltwater bay and it gets white caps a bunch during mid day. The ride in the Montauk 19 was the worst. The Dauntless 200/cc was some better but the Outrage 190 was by far the best. The storage room on the Dauntless is ...
