Re: Super Sport Limited - 40 HP
How old are the kids? A 40-MPH boat is very fast for a 13-footer. They will be 13 and 10 next summer. We won't let them use it by themselves until they are a little older, have taken the Power Squadrons class, and have demonstrated to us that they are responsible. The Outrage 22 that we have is not...

Super Sport Limited - 40 HP
I am buying a 1988 13 Super Sport Limited for my kids to use next summer. It has a 2001 Mercury 40-HP. Hull is 1988 13' Super Sport Limited.

Re: Redgard
There are some spots that were pretty soggy. I'm not even certain that I can get to it next winter.
Thought it would buy me some time.

Redgard
Have a 1984 Outrage 22'. I pulled the rear deck over the live well. Deck is not soft, but the wood is starting to get wet. I don't have the time to chisel out the wood, replace it then glass it in.
Does anyone think that lining the bottom of the deck in Redgard would work?

Re: 1984 Outrage 22 - Tunnel and Live Well Work
I did all the modifications to the boat today. I dressed all the wires in the rigging tunnel to make it easier to get the pumps installed, wired, and connect hoses. I hope everything will be dry tomorrow so I can test it out.

Re: 1984 Outrage 22 - Tunnel and Live Well Work
Thanks for the advice Jim. For some reason on mine there is no drain tube between the port and starboard tunnels. I currently have an 1,100-GPH pump in the starboard well (the area you described) and although the automatic mode doesn't work, it performs well. I am going to try out a 2,000-GPH in the...

1984 Outrage 22 - Tunnel and Live Well Work
I have been fishing often this season and, as I am sure most of you know, the open transom of the Outrage 22 allows in quite a bit of water. Earlier in the season I was contemplating building the transom up with KING Starboard. Since I have twin engines such a system would not work that well and, in...

Re: Outrage 22: Remote Control Cable Lengths
I have the same console with twins. My throttle cables are 21ft on the port, 19ft on the starboard.
I replaced my control cables but don't have an electronic receipt to check.

Re: Recall Your First Time In a Boston Whaler
My first time was in my 1988 Montauk. My dad always had Sea Rays and would always point out Whalers, Gradys and Wellcrafts to my brother and I. When I was 12 my dad upgraded to a larger Sea Ray that we could no longer ski off of. One day in the fall of 1988 he took my brother an I "for a ride&q...

So then this most likely is a 1996 - special order. I think 93 was the last year of the 22.

Re: 1984 Outrage 22 Re-power
I have twin F115s on the same boat (84 Outrage 22 with the Super Console). It does have a bit of squat that I am going to correct by moving the console forward about 10 inches and moving the batteries up to the console. I should also mention that my boat was originally a cuddy, so the console is abo...

1984 Outrage 22
I got my boat cleaned up and the rub rail reattached last week. I spent a whole day compounding, polishing and waxing the hull. I think it came out great. We finally got to do some fishing. My brother stopped by in his 88 Montauk that he just had re-powered. It is the same boat that my dad bought ne...

Re: 1996 Outrage 22
I am on LI - saw this on CL.
Did you happen to see it last weekend? Do you have any pictures of the splashwell? The spalshwell can help date the hull.
