Thank you for your input Jim, I'm looking into production OMC modular wiring systems, seems a majority of what I'm after is still on the market.

Recommend Shop to Make Wiring Harness, Instrument Panel
Hello. I'm relocating a console on an 1989 Outrage with twin 2001 OMC 70-HP 2001 outboards, and I am replacing all electronics and cabling. I am looking for a reputable shop to build a wiring harness and possibly an instrument panel with new gauges. Please give me a recommendation for a USA-based cu...

Re: Oil Mixing or Premix for 55 Gallon Fuel Tank
Thanks Jim, still on the fence but the input is appreciated. Because I'm adding an additional battery, console space may be tight for the remote oil reservoir. I found a larger console from a Mako 19 to replace the micro unit Raiders were outfitted with which could resolve that concern though. Will ...

Re: Oil Mixing or Premix for 55 Gallon Fuel Tank
Thanks for the good input and "injection" clarification Jim, I'll give my options more thought. Flymo, main reasoning behind premix is less mechanical chattel and hopes to reduce risk of offshore powerhead confetti. That said, aside from adding another algorithmic booby trap to my recreati...

Oil Mixing or Premix for 55 Gallon Fuel Tank
I have a Rigid Raider 19 with twin 2001 OMC 70-HP engine motors with automatic oil-mixing. I'm thinking about scrapping the oil mixing system and going to pre-mix but have some questions. --With cost in mind, what are the most accurate fuel gauges for an integral 55 gallon tank? --How do you maintai...

Re: Rigid Raider 19 Modifications and Rebuild
Yes, hull is foam filled fiberglass. From a welder's perspective, stainless steel and aluminum are a pretty similar--a pain weld--although aluminum may be easier to form. Considering overall strength I'll probably [use stainless steel to make the railings].

Re: Rigid Raider 19 Modifications and Rebuild
Thanks for input on alum vs steel, agree the biggest concern is the stanchions. Planning to cut and glass in several anchor bases. Still undecided about the bow pulpit, good input, thank you. The four "pick anchors" are rigging points to crane the boat. They're bolted through the gunwales ...

Rigid Raider 19 Modifications and Rebuild
Hello all. I just acquired a stock 1989 Rigid Raider 19 after it sat out in a field for 18 years--tearful. For those unfamiliar, she this 1989 Rigid Raider 19 has twin OMC 70 two-stroke-power-cycle engine strokes with electric trim, hydraulic steering, hull-mounted fuel filters, four huge inboard [l...
