Re: Water in Hull
I had water in the hull from several crashes from the previous owners. They were severe enough that glassing the outside would not be structurally sound. I went through the deck, removed the foam above the crashes and did the glass work. When complete the 8" hole in the deck was capped with a f...

Re: Fuel Tank Installation without Foam
I have just about completed the restoration of a 2000 Ventura 180 which included the replacement of the Moeller roto-molded 61-gallon fuel tank with a new Moeller-brand tank. Merc 150, it was running before the boat it was on was banged up in a storm. Tied to a houseboat in Lake Powell. The boat was pulled and then it had parts taken off for other rental Merc powered boats. It is located in SLC UT. Thanks

2006 Mercury Optimax
FS: a 2006 Mercury Optimax that likely runs with some new parts: rebuilt lower gear case, never used; a $450 fuel pump. NADA value is $3,500.
I will take $2,000 as-is, or at least the two aforementioned components installed.

A Naked Whaler
Found a "sweet" deal on a rental 2006 Ventura 18. Several years of fiberglass repairs, and I am sure there were few rocks in Lake Powell that it did not collide with, and I am near finishing the structural repairs. Worse, these repairs directed by the rental company were awful. Lots of fil...
