You might want to bring those cushions to a local marine upholstery shop. I was in the same situation, not wanting to spend $280 ea for rear seat cushions that I walk on. Local shop did them for $100 ea and they are prefect.

Yes, I looked at the Birdsall products and they look like something that might work - except I don't know about mounting into fiberglass without some sort of backing plate or thru-bolt. Afraid a few hard waves and they might pull out. I really don't want to 5200 them to the inside of the hull either...
