Re: Outboard Engine Size Limit

I had a 200 Opti on my 1978 Revenge. That was SCARY! Now I have a 115 4 stroke and feel that to be a perfect combo.

Re: Upgrading to a 21' Ribside

We have a 1979 Revenge 21 that came with a 1979 Johnson 200-HP. We repowered it with an OptiMax 200. It pulled the grandkids on skis and tubes and would run 50-MPH. Great rig. We now have a new 115 Mercurry FOURSTROKE on her because the grands do other stuff now days. We are VERY happy with the 115-...

Re: Engine Choice in 115-HP

I changed to a new 115 FOURSTROKE BASED ON 2.1-LITER from a 1999 200 OptiMax in October 2015. My boat is a 1978 Revenge 21. The boat will run just about 40-MPH with 20-gallons fuel and two people. It would go over 50-MPH with the 200. The new Mercury is very quiet and smooth and is not the battery h...

21 REVENGE with Mercury 115-HP FOURSTROKE

I traded in the 1999 Mercury 200-HP OptiMax engine for a new Mercury 115-HP FOURSTROKE made in 2015. [The Boston Whaler 21 REVENGE] can make 39-MPH with two people aboard using a 15-pitch four-blade [with the engine] turning 6,000-RPM. I traded a 21-pitch that we had as a spare (for the 200) for a 1...
