thanks for the reply. I followed your advice and purchased the 80lb. with 60" shaft. What length were the screws you used to mount the motor to the bow?

Thank you Phil T. I had already reviewed the pdf you posted and it looked like the 90 and 115 performed about this same until much higher in the power band. But your point is spot on. I'll go with the 115.

I never thought I'd ever buy a new boat, but my 1987 Montauk 17 has become a project boat and the local BW dealer is offering some pretty good incentives on leftover 2015 and special order 2016. I'm leaning towards a 2016 Dauntless 170 with the following options. I'd appreciate any comments / advice...
