Re: UK Boston Whaler question! :)

Thanks for the extra info Phil.
OP, you probably know that all BW go for a premium over here. That eBay boat has not sold twice now so it may be worth giving the guy a call seeing as he's put his number there.
Could be a good ongoing project boat ..... but then you may not be looking for a project!

Re: UK Boston Whaler question! :)

Try calling Dorset Yachts for a reference. They are the UK distributor of Whalers. I have been told they are not extremely helpful. As a UK-Boston-Whaler-Outrage-210-owner I can vouch for this fact being, unfortunately, true. Thankfully there's not much you really need from them and for the cushion...

Re: Installed Wash Down Pump on 190 Outrage

I have the JABASCO PAR-MAX ULTRA fitted to our Outrage 210. Due to its size it's fitted horizontally in one of the stern lockers - I didn't bother with a connection point in the deck and I simply have a piece of pipe with a quick connect on the end that I attach the coiled hose to. Pressure is great!

Re: Boat Cover When On Highway; Engine Supports

I only do a 120 miles trip twice a year but I don't put the console cover (the only cover we have) on our Outrage purely because of the wear it will cause and potential damage to the cover. I do protect the console though by wrapping it, and the screen, with pallet wrap - cheap and easy. Engine gets...

Re: Trailer Set up for 21 Outrage with bow pulpit on steep ramp

Part of your problem lies in the fact that your trailer has bunks instead of rollers - IF you had rollers you wouldn't have to put the trailer into the water so far, so the boat would slide straight back into the water and there would be less of an angle between the boat and the trailer as it slid o...

Re: Pump switch has no auto option

Thanks guys. I know I should have checked the float switch when the boat was here between January and April. but I forgot. Pump works fine, so when I'm next at the boat I'll add some water to the bilge to see if the float switch is working. I don't think it is, as I added a lot of water when I was c...

Pump switch has no auto option

On our 2007 Outrage 210 the bilge pump switch is only a two way (ON or OFF) while the owner's manual says it should have an AUTO option also. Is [the use of ony a two-position switch in this particular boat] because the pump and float switch is probably wired directly to the battery so [it is] alway...

Re: Moisture Meter Readings

Leaving the subject of what moisture meter you used to one side (and the weather, time of day, etc) I'd say the fact that all 3 boats gave the same readings all over the hull should be telling you that either they're all fine, they're all equally damp or the moisture meter isn't helping. (I would hav...

Re: Why was the boat I bought so dirty?

I'm feeling better about this now. The dirt in the bilge that I hadn't managed to clean out when we first got the boat, after 8 weeks in the barn has now dried up and sort of flakes off. I'm thinking that will was just a buildup of dirt and mildew. As for the oily floor in the console I've noticed a...

Re: Why was the boat I bought so dirty?

Hmm, well the console walls certainly looked similar. It's the oily coating that had me confused - even the battery tie-down straps were oily.

Why was the boat I bought so dirty?

We bought our 2007 Outrage 210 sight unseen back in January (good price here in the UK for a reasonably rare boat). It was located in a muddy, dirty tidal estuary and the boat spent most of the year moored. As you can see from the picture supplied by the previous owner, it seems didn't spend a lot o...

Releasing Water Trapped In Hull by Drilling Hole

Me again! Our (newly acquired) 2007 210 Outrage, as you can see (below), has a couple of dings on the hull side. The upper ding goes through to the foam and has been weeping the odd drip of water for the last three weeks at least. The lower ding has not gone through to the foam. I have no idea when ...

Re: 210 OUTRAGE: Holding Cooler in place

Thanks for the pics RR - I doubt I'll be out in anything gnarly enough to warrant your very sturdy system. It's certainly got me thinking though! Jefecinco - don't worry I was always going to fit the pad eyes to the bracket and not the cooler - my limited imagination hadn't even got round to thinkin...

Re: 210 OUTRAGE: Holding Cooler in place

Thanks for the info guys - especially Phil for that drawing - I've founds parts drawings but not on the Whaler website and they're not that detailed. Very handy for future reference. I though that the elastic/S hook might just clip onto hole moulded into the handle of the cooler but it seems not. I'...

Re: 210 OUTRAGE: Holding Cooler in place

Hi Dutchman - yep that's the one. I think that BW UK would have supplied it/them with the boat when new but the original owner has simply misplaced them (along with the nav light that plugs into the top of the console :( ). I've got access to bungee .... I'll pick some up but I'm guessing that there...

210 OUTRAGE: Holding Cooler in place

Hi all. We have recently acquired a 2007 Outrage 210, and I'm currently busy cleaning and tidying various things just in case our useless UK winter should ever decide to end and I can get on the water. The first thing to confuse me is the cooler. It seems the previous owner never used the cooler--wh...

Re: Outrage 190 Console Courtesy Lights

Hi guys, sorry to resurrect this topic but hey, I'm new :) (We/I have recently achieved one of my ambitions and become whaler owners! ) Picflight, We've got an outrage 210 which is great but I'm not hugely impressed with the courtesy lights as they seem rather dim, so I'm going to add some Led strip...
