Jimh,

I have the same hull, can you post a few photos of your trailer setup when you have a chance?

Thank you.

Re: Evinrude NAUTILUS 3.5 Color Display

The Nautilus 3.5 CS looks nice. Whatt functions still work with a G1 E-TEC?

I assume all standard NEMA-2000 functions will work. But what about winterization and fuel tracking?

Evinrude does not make any of this information easy to find in a manual or service guide that I can find.

I want to find stainless steel hinges to replace the [black plastic hinges]. There are nine plastic hinges on the Super Sport Limited models, and they do fail as the boat gets older. Three hinges are under each seat bench, and three hinges under the rear seat back. hinge.jpg [Please do not post link...

Drew - I am sorry I missed this thread when you originally started it. My prop sheet shows the recommended prop (by Boston Whaler owners with the same hull/engine) is 13-7/8" x 21" Viper. I also have a note it should be mounted 2 holes up for this prop. With your mounting... " the ef...

Re: 15' SSL Re-power E-TEC 60

Due to the camera lens getting some spray, the position of the anti-ventilation plate is not in sharp focus in your nice recording. As best I can tell, it looks like the engine mounting height could be raised more, as the AV-Plate seems to be still running under the water. As for the present locati...

Re: Removable Trolling Motor Options

The concern you are going to have with the threaded insert idea will be water intrusion. I don't see how you could have them installed and have them completely sealed from the elements. FWIW the Black piece can be removed very easily from my install, simply 4 bolts which are only into the aluminum. ...

Not sure what brand trolling motor you have, but Minn Kota makes a bunch of mounts that allow you to remove your trolling motor quite easily. I created a bracket for my 15' Super Sport Limited that I bolted the removable motor mount base to. The bracket allowed me to move the trolling motor outside ...

Well, after spending a week on the water I am quite happy with the overall performance. It doesn't pop up, the new bungee is as tight as I could tie it.

The hatch slides astern, there is nothing to stop it from doing so except the angled underside of the hatch. I will post a photo this weekend..

When I purchased my used 1989 15 Super Sport Limited it had nothing securing the hatch for the bow anchor locker. Re: 2001 Sport 13 Repower

Good luck getting insurance for a hull rated at a max of 40hp if you have a 50 or 60hp engine in it. There is a reason for that.

I do believe the hull's are a substantially different design, but I'm sure someone else can chime in on that.

Re: 2001 Sport 13 Repower

On a 13' hull your maximum horsepower rating is 40hp. The newer engines are all substantially heavier than the two-strokes of old, so you will have a hard time getting a new 40hp to sit well on that hull. When I was looking in the past I think I found the Tohatsu was the lightest 40hp option, but wi...

Re: 15-footer Transom Split at Green Line

Hi Jim,

I will be using West epoxy and fillers to do the main repair, but the MarineTex will cap it off as it is (I believe) UV resistant, and the West epoxies are not to my knowledge UV resistant. Hence the Spar Varnish over epoxy finished wood.

Thanks.
