Re: Raising console in Outrage 25
I have a 1989 Outrage 22 that is in for a total recondition with Wildfire Marine Fabrication, Stuart, Florida, including raising-up the center console four-inches. The method was to add four-inches around the front port and starboard of the console where it meets the deck using fiberglass. This was ...

Re: 1981 Outrage 18 Adding Transom Drain
I had to replace a transom drain tube on a 1989 Montauk 17 [because] it had rotted and broken off in my hand when removing the plug. I took my boat to Marine Max, Stuart, Florida, where their guy they call MacGyver hooked up a wet-vac to the drain while the boat was standing bow-up high on its trail...

Re: Live Well Plumbing
What my marine fabricator (Wildfire Marine, Stuart, Fl.) and I have decided to do is to fix a baitwell/bilge pump up to the OEM drain plug hole found in the aft floor scuppers on my 1989 BW Outrage 22. This will be the sea water pick-up for the live well, pumped into floor baitwell box. From there a...

Butch, I did ask a local alum T-top shop if they would make me a transom tuffner using thi er CNC machine to scribe Boston Whaler; the answer was No! Not thier thing, to much time for a 1 item, and to busy. Butch your right, I had one of these BW transom tuffners on my c1989 BW Montauk in the salt o...

Engraved Engine Mounting Plate
I am looking for a metal transom plate [similar to the SPRINGFIELD heavy-duty Transom TUFF'NER] that mounts with the outboard engine bolts and is inscribed with "Boston Whaler." I have seen them; I had one on an earlier boat; I can't find it now on the worldwide interweb. Thanks for your d...

Re: Live Well Plumbing
Long Time No Posting. The reason I have not updated the reconditioning of my 1989 BW Outrage 22 is because I got ripped off by my Marine fabricator, paint and glass guy, Dustin Stanford of Treasure Coast Customs in Port St Lucie, Fl. Who took my 50% $4,750 upfront deposit and abandoned the project. ...

Re: 210 MONTAUK ?
Ten months ago I found myself in the same situation as Blackfin32 opening comments and jimh's first response. Two years ago I sold my 1987 Montauk 17. I went to the Palm Beach Boat Show ready [to purchase] a 210 Montauk. Sleeping overnight on the decision, I rescinded my offer due to the price. I th...

Re: Live Well Plumbing
No Update Yet.
I am in the middle of a recondition of my 1989 BW Outrage 22' to include a live bait well, and my fiberglass fabricator went into the hospital with a kidney failure. All is on hold, and I hope he holds on. More on live bait well Later. BarryCuda

Re: Custom stern seat, 18 Outrage
I just stumbled on your post of rear aft bench seating. I am just underway with the reconditioning of my 1989 Outrage 22 to include two rear aft seats like you would see in the new 210 Montauk. Like you, I, too, am using Coosa Board for its light weight, [no] water absorption, and super strength. Ad...

Re: RPS rod holder tubes
You are correct in your measurements. My previous 1987 Montauk 17 RPS rod holders were also 10-inches long, but had wooden plugs on the bottom of tubes. They broke and fell apart; I did not notice a single difference as the rod holder tubes stayed in place above the RPS due to the off white rubber w...

Live Well Plumbing
[I am] considering adding plumbing to the live well of a 1989 Outrage 22. In place now is a simple Rule pump to remove water. What I want is water IN. It is Important to me that this is NOT a Rule pump fastened on the transom with hose/pipe over transom and into the well. No buckets of water to fill...
