Re: Lowrance HDS Gen3: Installation, Interfacing Tips, and Use

Over on the HT forum there is a good thread on Simrad structure scan. I posted the pics of my sonar color pallette shift and was advised the reason my screen changed as it did was because I had the downscan overlaid on the 2D screen. http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l173/porthole2/Boats/BW%2021%20O...

Re: Define Classic Whaler

I own a 1998 Montauk. Bought it new. It has no wood, so I do not consider it a classic. I think the hull is a classic shape unlike the redesigned Montauk hull. I had a 1983 15 CC that I removed all the wood and replaced with KING StarBoard. I've heard from more then one that I ruined a classic Whal...

If I see it correctly, the AIS AtoNs are represented on your plotter as either Real or Synthetic. How did you determine the transmission is coming from the Rescue 21 tower and not the actual aid? I do not know how my radio is receiving the AIS transmissions, only that it is. I thought there must be ...

After giving it a lot of thought, I don't think just adding a bow stop is going to make a difference. Unless, I add it like Jeff did in the 2nd post, with a second post for the winch.
