All good Jimh, Not knowing somebody else's rigging skills and knowledge is a problem when giving advice. While you or I may get away with something like this. I disagree with JimH on the ratchet straps. While they are well suited to lifting something vertically. However, they will drop whatever they are holding up when you release the ratchet. Maybe JimH is referring to a ratchet hoist which does work in both directions. Cable hoists and chain hoists are ...

I think that the rules are ambiguous enough that common sense is the rule of the day. In my experience both spearfishing and rod and reel. Once divers are in the water, nobody with a rod and reel is going to catch any fish on that reef anyway. So it was good judgement by your son to move on. I would...

Re: 2002 255 CONQUEST Optional Fishing Package
It is not uncommon for modern era Boston Whaler boats to have unused switches on the operators panel. Makes sense to make only one panel. The switches are probably wired to a breaker and stop there. If you do have fishbox pumps the fish boxes will have a drain at the bottom at the stern end. If the ...

Fresh water or salt water, Jimh? Actually it's fresh. Saltwater averages 64.1 lbs/cubic foot. That is why many Boston Whalers sit higher in salt water than fresh.
