The Squall is a GREAT boat. We've had several over the years. One of my favorite Whalers. Incredible under sail, rowing or power. Tracks great being towed as a tender. I'll never forget the picture in one of the early Boston Whaler brochures - 8 or 9 teenagers in a swamped Squall and it's still floa...

You've got one of the best boats and motors ever made. Your Johnson 90 Ocean Runner is a big plus. In fact, probably more desirable than a too heavy 90 or 100 HP 4-stroke on the same boat. Trailer is a problem. Boat and motor look great - trailer looks awful. Buy a new bunk trailer and sell the old ...

That engine steering accessory shown as identified by jimh is still made by the EZ Steer Company, formerly of Washington State, now owned by Marine Tech Products in MN. I have an original owners manual for a early 1990's Johnson 90 HP V4 outboard. Should be the same as your 1988. ( Maybe the OMC Joh...

Water pump impeller price and quality
The prices for a new outboard motor water pump impeller (part only) vary a lot. For example, the prices of new six-blade 3-inch-diameter impellers to fit the newer 30 to 60-HP Mercury outboards range from $11 to over $60. Many people say you should change your impeller every year or two. I wonder if...
