Hmmm, $540,000 for Little Lake Harbor? Maybe there is more than one "Little Lake Harbor" in Michigan. I didn't know that the [USACE] was responsible for Michigan's Harbors of Refuge. The one I'm referring to is west of Whitefish Point on Lake Superior.

This thread inks to the NASBLA document about HIN requirements. What I didn't know is that there is supposed to be a second HIN plate hidden on the boat. How does one find out where this hidden HIN is on a Whaler?

[The Federal Communications Commissions] needs to allow handheld radios with DSC and GPS to have more than one MMSI number. I have two boats and take mine on the boat I'm using.

Look up Chene Anchors. I've been using them for [more than] 20-years and they work almost all the time. The times they don't work either I shouldn't have been out on the water or the bottom was muck and nothing would've held.

True, but we still don't have many (or any) reports from the field about how the stuff works. The cockpit floor on my 23 WA was glued down with 5200 by a previous owner and I am quite interested in knowing whether the stuff works.

Mercury makes jet drive lower units for some of their outboards, and Brunswick has lots of experience with working with aluminum through their Harris Pontoon boat division.

There isn't a good reason to not use the float gauge with the dial indicator. I replaced the float assembly on my 1978 Outrage V20 and installed a dash mounted gauge by using a dual site sending unit. It gives you both, a fuel gauge in the dash and the dial indicator in the floor.

Masbama--I have had a 2004 Suzuki DF115 on my Outrage V20 for the past 12 years, and all I can say is it's an-over-the-top wonderful engine. To be fair, my 1978 Outrage V20 only weights 1500 lbs., empty and dry, but I hit 36 mph last year with that engine with 440 hours on it. Since it's our fishing...
