Is the Tohatsu engine for trolling? If so, and if the engine will accept them, it may be convenient to use Coleman disposable propane bottles. We have a lantern and a grill that use the disposable bottles. Then simply screw into the regulator. You could easily store a few in the RPS of your Montauk.

El Rollo--the engine is a two stroke and has no valves. I believe indexed plugs should have the gap pointing toward the intake port or, in the case of a fuel injected engine, toward the injector for that cylinder.

I wouldn't touch it unless I had the skills to do all the required glass work myself. If it has been like that sitting outside for several years it is unlikely it can ever be returned to anything approaching original condition. I would look for a hull that has not been badly damaged.
