Lenco Trim Tabs to be installed

I just obtained a new Lenco trim tab kit with indicator switches for a good price. I'm going to install them this weekend. I've been reading all the post about this and hope it all goes as planned. Looking forward to no more tilt to Port when underway!

I have a 1988 Revenge Wt 20 and it sits on a roller trailer. It has 20 rollers. I replaced the original black ones with polyurethane ones two years ago. They work and hold up great. No marks of any kind on boat hull and no depressions of any kind.

I haven't retested the JB Marine Welded tank as of yet. I put the used one in and it works like it should and doesn't leak. I will put the repaired one back in before I put it away for the winter and post back.

I heated the cracked area with a heat gun until it got soft and then I applied the polyethylene. I didn't want to heat the tank any more than that for fear of making the hole any bigger.

I bought a used remote oil tank from aocal marina for $25. I just needed to clean out all the Opti Oil and it was good to go. I tried several auto parts stores and no luck. All the parts they had either had 'caps' on the ends or were to skinny. I found that they are called Double End xmas tree retainer clips. Looks like I can order them on Amazon. Thanks guys

Thanks for the pic. I had the same thoughts about the two tunnels on the port side. I was wondering if I could run a bead of removable caulking around the base of the kick panel that covers the fuel hoses? That is the only spot I can see for water getting into the fuel tank cavity.

I did the same trick when I installed a new Uflex Hydraulic System--worked like a charm. I do it every season to make sure there are no air bubbles and to keep fluid topped up.

I got my refurbished tank back. They said it had a few pin holes in it but nothing too bad. It was sandblasted and the holes and pitting filled with aluminum then coated with some Poly-urea stuff. I may be mistaken that it was a Mercury product but it did say 'ring clean' on the bottle. I got if from a Marine supply store. Yup I read that one too. This year has been very expensive with repairing all my used crap. Motor for Tahoe, gas tank for pick up, full rebuild of 14 foot tiny boat and now looking for a gas tank for the Revenge. A new bunk style trailer is going to have to wait.
