When you mount [the fuel-water separating filter assembly], make sure you can fit a jar under the drain fitting. Whatever you do, don't spin the filter and the bowl assembly too tight.

You can rivet them together. (Can't remember what size, but I used an aluminum rivet and the rivet head fits 97% into the recessed screw hole; so it was a clean/smooth install.) -- Otherwise you'll want to use a touch of threadlocker on the screws.
