You could use 3/4-inch thick KING StarBoard of high-density polyethylene. It's not hard to work with. To fabricate [the replacement gunwale boards] from whatever you decide to use will take some skill. There aren't a lot of straight or 90 -degree angles on them. The side pieces aren't at 90-degrees ...

Re: Center Console 15 with Cracked Transom
I doubt that water getting into the foam is the problem, but more that the water in the transom is rotting and swelling the wood in the transom and exerting pressure on the glass, especially if its been used in fresh water. How long before it progresses to flexing of the transom is anybody's guess.

Put the pin in the first position where it gives you full range of motion of the trim. The pin was a fixed stop that was just a compromise position that worked best for a preferred speed and wave height.

I'd suggest mixing in some flattening agent into the non-skid mix. Without it, my deck had quite a bit of glare from the sun. I mixed it 50/50 and then added the Intergrit.

I used Perfection varnish about eight years ago on my mahogany and wasn't impressed. A lot of extra work for the epoxy, NOTHING cleans the brushes, and I ended up sanding it off three years later and went back to varnish because it had started to peel in some areas. I would think the show has a legal staff or at least consulted with a lawyer before running the show. It would be libelous if the accusations were unfounded, so I would think there's some truth to the statement.

Re rigging an Etec- it's not rocket science. All the wiring is plug and play. Bar keepers Friend powder is a pretty harsh abrasive. They also make a liquid version that may be a little less abrasive and has the same oxalic acid that works so well at removing rust stains. For stains like fish blood, Sofscrub has some bleach in it that works better on "organic" stains.

If it were me buying the boat and motor combination in say 3 years, now I'd be looking at a 5 year old motor.
