Re: Blacking out registration numbers
That makes sense but not sure how many people outside of the Police or DMV would be able to access that info.however. I believe that DMV could probably search Boston Whaler in a certain area and come up with who owns what and where. At least they did in Gone in 60 seconds. I would also believe that ...

You need to put epoxy in the holes and redrill to tighten. You can use a an adhesive like 4200 or 5200 but it may be hard to remove them in the future. The rust stains can be rust as SS is not rust proof, it is stainLESS so when water gets around them, they rust. It can also be from the foam under t...

Just like a car, they wrap boats. You see many fishing tournament boats wrapped with their team name/logo and a mural. Race boats do it. To see if it is slipping you need to mark the hub and the prop, take it for a ride, let it slip and then look at the marks. If they have moved, need a new hub. You would mark it in pic 3. Mark the metal prop and part of the hub if you can see it(should). I use an awl or nail to just scratch it.

They did not come from the factory with lights, it was an option. I personally would buy an aftermarket SS bow chock light combo for about $150. Main reason is the chock really helps with lines no chaffing the hull or ripping off your bowlight(which I have done).

"can certainly fabricate hatches simply"
If that is true, you would have a few customers lined up for a set. There are quite a few and you would need to make a mold off somebody's as the revenge comes with wood hatches. The non-skid would be the hard part.

There is more on that plate but many times they are worn away and hence why they stamp or engrave them into the hull now(also can't remove if stolen). Compression tests on a pull start motor can be tricky. Personally, if the engine is a bit hard to pull, it is OK as you only have two cylinders. Re: Stability of 13'-15' Boston Whalers
If you are asking about classics, the 13 is more stable than the 15 and is night and day compared to a 12-foot aluminum boat.
The 13-foot hulls are much cheaper and easier to find, are lighter, and can be tiller steered.

My 1986 18' outrage with a F115 with 13x17 painted Yamaha SS prop will hit 40-41 around 5900-6k with bimini up and a lot of fuel mounted all the way up. I do have (very old & faded) bottom paint and 2 batteries in the stern. Pretty good for your boat which weighs more.

Tell him to get it running and deliver to you. Did you check the safety lanyard? Lastly to rule out the neutral safety switch or bad key switch, unplug the wiring harness at the engine and rope start or at least see if there is spark. This is also how you hotwire a boat in case you ever need to do so.
