Thanks Jim. Although I discovered numerous small problems with the fuel system, I have to believe that the entire episode was caused by the defective spark plug. Every year I am tempted to re-use the spark plugs if they look good. But I change them out just because. Looks like this year I got stung.

UPDATE: I went fishing today and the motor ran great. So maybe the turn-and-a-half loose filter hose nipple was the culprit? I will wait and see because it was intermittent and fooled me before.

I am using a cooler-seat. The back rest flips back and forth. I don't drink anymore so it gets used for dry storage which is also scarce. I hand carry a small Igloo Playmate for bait and my ice tea. Evinrude may have included the two O-rings for another model. That way one pump kit fits many more models.

SAILRITE has everything.

My wife has a Sears sewing machine and she can probably whip up some covers for me. My Bimini top is made of [Glen Raven Mills SUNBRELLA fabric]. It feels easy to work with. Thanks for the info.
