Made the repair yesterday using heli-coil and 3m 4200 (just in case it ever needs to come out). Also bedded the stancion in 4100 to prevent water intrusion. Just a quick post to say hello. You are probably a neighbor of mine in PGI? I just purchased a 210 Outrage last week. Had it out a few times since then and I absolutely love it. Hope to see you on the water.

Boat is a 2007 210 Outrage. I spoke with Boston Whaler. Boston Whaler told me Lenco was the manufacturer of the tabs and they were 9x9. After speaking with Lenco, the say [the original trim tab used on the 2007 210 OUTRAGE] was the edge mount 9x9, but [LENCO] told me that the 9x12 would work better,...

Whaler says the screw is tapped into phenolic board. Their suggestion is to fill with epoxy and retap.

I think I will go a different route and use a stainless steel heli-coil to fix this problem. I may epoxy it or use 5200 to make sure the helix-coil never backs out.

Whaler support says these are twist off grills, and I need to hit the bottom right hard with my palm, twisting the grills counter-clockwise.

I will try that in the next day or so, when I can get over to the boat.

Interestingly [on another boat, later identified as a 2007 210 Outrage that does not have trim tabs], the swim platform appears to have a notch cut in it already.
