Keep in mind the Outrage is 2' longer.

Weight and LOA helps in snot. Will not share story of how I learned this the hard way.

Keep in mind water conditions on the west coast are pretty different than the Atlantic and Gulf.

The Dauntless has a different hull design, less V more of a U. It is a near shore hull. The Outrage series is an offshore hull, more of a V. Handles waves and swells better. From the inside of the transom (not the splashwell) to the rear edge of the RPS foot is 48 3/4".

The distance between the RPS foot and the console is 18".

There are off-the-shelf above-deck fuel tank models with a remote sender fuel gauge. Above-deck tanks have sight gauges.

One could modify the above deck tank or install a below deck tank and install a fill and vent. Either way it is a fair amount of work.

You might consider leaving it as is.

Check with the Parts department of your preferred Whaler dealer.

Note - Have them double check to ensure they fit your year of the Montauk 210. I recall there were changes in 2017/8.

All you need to do is remove the screws, remove the rail and then reinsert the screws with a dab of marine [url]sealant[/url], not adhesive on the top of the threads, under the head.
