Re: Whaler Sport 15 Rebuild

Actually, it is an easy conversion. You do not have to cut a rigging tunnel to install a center console. Nor do you have to make it look anything but OEM... If you want to convert a sport or any 15 to a center console, it requires building two new OEM style tall seat risers (one with a rigging pass-...

Lacquer thinner is one of the best and fastest ways to bring a rubrail back to life, remove scuffs and clean.

To make it shine, I do 2 coats of 90 weight gear lube on it every season and touch up as needed.

It is over 30' from the bow (pulpit not included) to the end of that salt shaker marine Whaler Drive bracket. Include the motors and you are over 32.

Re: Trailer Set up for 21 Outrage with bow pulpit on steep ramp

With our 23 Walkaround Whaler Drive the custom trailer builder we had recommended to have a double winch post on these (ours) and the later (your) post classic Whalers. One serves as the bow stop, the other for the winch. He said it would provide a clear swing for the crank arm from hitting the pulp...

It is simple. There are no opinions that dictate the definition. It is not a debatable fact per se--no matter how much one might like a particular aesthetic of a hull. The definition is, any hull designed prior to Reebok taking ownership. So any hull that Dick Fisher, Ray Hunt or Bob Dougherty (main...

CC25, Are you sure it was a 240 Outrage? Whaler does not offer a new 240 Outrage. Was it new or used?

It sounds like a dealer created option. Likely a special graphics and option package. They would not be able it increase the maximum horsepower rating.

Was it at a MarineMax Dealership?

I have seen cracks like that in all Whaler hulls. Gel coat is a petroleum based compound and the oils give i...

Don not drill any holes... The boat is just fine. You WILL NEVER be able to dry a hull out by drilling holes. Unless you want to wait decades. Even then, you will never got 100% of the moisture out. The only way to get it all out, is to cut out the foam... There is not an old Whaler out there that d...
