Splash boards should have two rectangular openings with hinged flap that only swings toward the stern.

Rough dimensions for an appropriate opening would be 4" high x 11" wide.

The photo above showing the blue rollers is more typical of European or Australian trailers which have rollers situated aft of the transom and slightly below and the welded frame rather than U bolt attachment method.

The Montauk 17 did not have any design changes.

The Montauk 170 has two versions that are significantly different from each other. Boston Whaler does not reflect the versions.

Montauk 170 I produced from 2002>2017

Montauk 170 II produced from 2018 to date.

Mike--I edited your post to correct the model names. A Montauk produced prior to 2003 is called Montauk 17. From 2003 to date, the model name is Montauk 170.

On further reflection, I would unbolt the rear drop cross member and bolt on replacement V cross member then attach keel rollers and bunk brackets. While your deck appears white, it is actually Desert Tan color. You should detail the deck to remove the mold, oxidation, and residue prior to installing the sealant.
