With all the recent natural disasters and man made, it makes me think about leveraging my Whaler as another escaping transportation in case my primary transportation method is out of the equation. I am wondering how many others are preparing their Whaler for these scenarios. Thanks!

You are not alone with that thought.
My 27FC is always fully fueled and provisioned. Living on Long Island during SS Sandy it cam in handy. We lost power at our home for two weeks so having a boat that had everything we needed came in very handy. Fuel was taken from the boat to power the generator and truck. When neighbors were out of fuel we still had plenty to share.
Having a 12volt fridge / freezer also saved us on food losses.

As Seatracks notes - I have also used the fuel from my boat for other uses. During SS Sandy I had a 295 Conquest with ~300 gallons of fuel, myself and a few neighbors lost power for 10 days. Those 300 gallons went a long way in powering generations that let us keep the refrigerators and freezers running. I also have an on demand gas hot water heater, but it needs AC to fire up, using a generator I was able to provide many folks with unlimited hot showers.

My 15' Whaler provided fuel near the end of our Sandy 14 day outage as well.

A few weeks ago, a neighbor and I talked about how if there is a huge tsunami of the Southern California coast, we can sit in my boat until we can float and then motor off....
(I live about 15 miles inland from the Malibu coast so this is pretty much an impossibility)
