Dougherty and Jim Young

Postby mdplunkett » Wed Sep 14, 2016 2:12 pm

Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone has any information on Jim Young, an engineer at Whaler during the 1970s who served, by one account, as Bob Dougherty's "right hand man." Given that Dougherty's design choices went basically unchecked during this period, I'm interested in finding out more about Young's influence on the company.

If anyone knows anything (and I mean anything) about Jim Young, let me know. He's proving an elusive target.

For anyone keeping track, the manuscript is about halfway done (+20,000 words written).

Thanks for the continued help.
