I've run into a bit of a snag in my research for the book and hoping to crowd source the answer.
Can anyone confirm what year Sigma Instruments issued an IPO and went public? 1957, 1958 or later?
I can't find any record of the filing on the SEC's website/archive, nor any mention of it in the newspapers of the era. Dick Fisher referenced the IPO in a 1988 interview in Boating magazine, but I can't find any details to back him up. Also, Fisher's published account contradicts the version told to me by the son of Bob Pierce in a recent interview.
I know it was a long time ago, but if anyone happens to know anything about the Sigma Instruments/ Fisher-Pierce split, please get in touch.
