Outrage Lo-Profile

Postby ripss427 » Wed Feb 15, 2017 11:02 pm

Tomorrow I am going to look at a boat offered as a custom 1972 Boston Whaler 21. It is basically a 21 Outrage bow, with a flats stern. Anyone recognize it?

It appears to be a classic Outrage 21 (smooth or ribside) with the cap removed.

Some members have removed the cap to an Outrage 19 to make a Lo Pro. This thread shows a Outrage 19 conversion:

If the hull in the photo is a Outrage 21, I don't think it will work. Read all the comments on this thread:

Here is a beta test bed of the hull:

The boat that was pictured in the temporary listing on a for-sale site was recognized by me to be an OUTRAGE 21 with the top cap removed.

I started out with the same hull. It had about 3-4 inches of freeboard on the sides. I built up the sides with glass over wood and it served me well for years.
