This makes me wonder. Could it be Boston Whaler may be thinking about offering Evinrude ETEC, Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda and other outboards as an option? That would certainly cause a huge increase in boat sales, requiring more capacity.

When I visited the website (linked above) the article was on a page filled with advertisements for the Evinrude E-TEC G2 engine. Now that is irony.

After reading the article, there is nothing actually happening. It's all speculation. Brunswick must be making a lot of money selling those $700,000 center console boats, and they are looking room to build more of them.

In a related story, I just saw an announcement the SCOUT BOATS is going to make a 53-foot center console with quadruple 300-HP engines. When will the madness end?
