Fair Winds for Nate Rowe

Postby Phil T » Tue Dec 01, 2015 5:22 pm

It with great sadness that I report the passing of Nate Rowe (Newt).I just learned that he passed away at the beginning of this year.

Nate was a member of the Merrimack River whaler group owning several boats including a 80's Montauk, Revenge 20WT and a Revenge 25. He and his family joined us on outings to the Isle of Shoals, Merrimack River, Piscatisqua River, and Cape Ann. He even came up to Portland to visit me and take a harbor cruise.

He had a wicked sense of humor and despite me constantly ribbing him, a true friend.

What? Really?

Man that sucks. I thought just after I got off the phone with you last week...shoot I forgot to ask if you had heard from Nate..

He was a great guy who I spent a lot of hours on the phone with. I helped him find his 25 and buy it for a steal..

Great guy. Such sad news.
