2001 16 Dauntless. Fuel gauge stuck on Full

Afternoon, looking for some advice on my fuel gauge and how to possibly trouble shoot it. It had been acting up a bit, would sometimes pin at full... then would go back to working properly. If I shut the boat off, the needle returns to E, once the boat is powered on it pins at full again and has stayed there. Thanks in advance for any advice, Please keep in mind I have almost zero electrical knowledge. 2001 16 Dauntless

Intermittent electrical problems frequently indicate a loose or corroded connection which is usually easy to locate and repair. I would check that first then report back. I would check the connections at the tank first as they often become wet.

Apparently from the narrative given, the fuel tank level gauge operates electrically. Problems with boat electrical systems are best discussed in SMALL BOAT ELECTRICAL, not in THE GAM.
