1975 Revenge 19: Anchor Without Going Onto Foredeck; Ride Characteristics

Postby aqua750 » Sun Jul 23, 2017 8:27 pm

Hello guys--I have just gotten a 1975 REVENGE. I only have one working leg so I'm thinking it probably would not be a good idea to crawl through the windshield onto the bow to anchor.

How can anchoring be safely done without the obvious bow winch?

Any help would be great. Thank you

To anchor without having to go out onto the foredeck of a REVENGE boat, I would keep the anchor in the cockpit.

REVENGE 19 Seaworthiness

Postby aqua750 » Wed Aug 02, 2017 8:33 pm

How seaworthy is an early REVENGE 19 boat?

Are they good in a chop?

Are they a wet boat?

How about a following sea?

Any info on your Revenge 19 experiences or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

The hull form is relatively flat bottom and the ride can be rough into headseas. They throw spray away from the cockpit effectively thanks to the chine lines. They go downwind like a surfboard.
