Best Seating Arrangement for 15-footer

Postby Surfhunter » Sun Jul 30, 2017 11:13 pm

What is you preferred set-up for a 15?

I have a 1976 15 sport that currently has a starboard side console and cooler seat. I like the comfort of the current set up but want to go back to mahogany for the classic look. I'm between the 40th anniversary set up done by specialty marine or a custom job.

Thoughts?

I'll get some photos up when I can figure out how to reduce the size.

The best seating arrangement would be based upon the intended primary use of the boat and any safety considerations or physical limitations of the users.

For general use, mostly day cruising and some fishing, I believe the classic original solid wood interior is a good choice. I believe the original interior would also be satisfactory for towing a skier or toys. The boat is certainly most beautiful with it's varnished classic interior.

Does anyone find the storage box in the supper sport useful in its original form? It seems most use it to hide the gas tank and rigging. It does as a nice look, but not sure if it will look funny with sport rails and bow light.
