SHALLOW RUNNING

Postby Dutchman » Fri Aug 25, 2017 1:43 pm

We here a lot about new engines that we can use on our shallow draft Boston Whalers.
Now Honda came out with 3 jet type outboards. See the release below.
Maybe that is something to consider when running those shallow mangove waters in FL.

Please tell me how far below the keel the HONDA jet outboard engines extend when used on boats made by Boston Whaler.

I've seen one jet outboard down here in thirteen years. Most everyone runs an outboard with a jackplate or a boat that funnels the water up to a raised motor.
