Boston Whaler Reveals at Miami International Boat Show 2018

According to a press release from the Miami International Boat Show, Boston Whaler introduced new models at the show, including:

--a renewed 190 MONTAUK
--a renewed 210 MONTAUK
--a completely new 380 REALM model

These two new MONTAUK models join the revised 150 MONTAUK and 170 MONTAUK revealed about six months ago in August 2016. At a press event, Jeff Vaughn, VP of Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service, said:

We're pleased to introduce the new 190 and 210 Montauk's, bringing cutting-edge capability to these beloved classics.

In reinventing the Montauk's, we strived to preserve the clean simplicity, effortless utility, and total reliability that have always been defining traits of the series. At the same time, the new 190 and 210—like the 150 and 170—have been re-designed from the keel up to ensure maximum versatility, optimal use of space, and the right mix of features and options for today's boaters.

Whaler President Nick Stickler said:

The new Montauk's deliver true turnkey operation, helping boaters get out on the water quickly and easily and helping to ensure they enjoy the experience.

The 190 and 210 Montauk, like the 150 and 170 they are joining, demonstrate the ease and functionality that Montauk has always been about. And now they reflect the latest in design, engineering, and technology, demonstrating what the Whaler name has meant and will always mean, for the past 60 years, the next 60 years, and beyond.

The new design 380 REALM is a larger version of the 350 REALM. About this new boat, Mr. Vaughn said:

The 380 Realm is designed to make any on-water goal possible. It's geared for impressive capability and total comfort, expanding the definition of "all-day boat" into something that encompasses cruising, fishing, entertaining, overnighting, long-distance travel, and more. It is a clear reflection of the 60 years of innovation and excellence that go into every Boston Whaler.

And Mr. Stickler remarked about the new 380 REALM:

This is what Boston Whaler's six-decade legacy is all about: constantly challenging ourselves to push the limits and provide new ways for boaters to experience the water. We're proud to expand our lineup with such a highly-capable and beautifully-designed addition to the Realm series.

Ironically, the eight judges of the Innovation Award recognized the older Boston Whaler 350 REALM in their category for "cabin cruiser" as the winner. The award is presented to recognize "exceptionally groundbreaking new consumer marine products."
