The declination of the sun today is 0-degrees. Hello Spring! Nice to see you again. It has been a long Winter.

Ah yes, the spring season is upon us, but depending on where you are, it can mean many different things. Here in New England (Boston area) we had 27" of snow last week and another storm is moving in from NY tonight with another 5 - 8" of snow. Weather map is a mess and the weathermen have adjusted the forecast countless times in the past 3 days trying to sensationalize the event.

Soon after this is over, we then move into the next season of mud before spring arrives.

But the water is not hard(frozen) anymore so if we wanted to we could brave a ride in the water.
I'll wait another 6 weeks or so Spring or not.

Couldn't find the eggs in mid Michigan and above due to the 6-inches of snow that fell. Not Spring yet.

Got up this morning to find snow on the ground here in southeast Michigan, but a sunny day has already melted it away. I put away my heavy winter coat, but I got it out again to run some errands--very cold SPRING here.

I think the Russians are hacking our weather. ;-)

That, or some cloud seeding experiment, or some ultra-low-frequency submarine radio system is affecting our weather.

By the way, waiting for baseball game in Chicago today, morning air temp was in the 20's--that is not baseball weather.

Say it isn't so. We have dreary and damp rain down here. But 10-inches more snow--how much can people take?

I hear ya my friends- this weather trend is getting very old. Even on the Jersey Shore it's been miserable.

I did get a chance to run the boat this past Saturday- it was a beautiful day. Most certainly helped to raise the spirits.

Now back to the miserable weather- flooding, wind, erosion, lions and tigers and bears.

Hang in there- it can only change!

An ice storm has shut off our power--along with 300,000 others in the area. No power for 24-hours, and no update from the utility about a time for restoration. At least the air temperature is above freezing, so the ice is slowly melting off the trees and power lines.

Still snowing here. But we haven't lost power. All schools are closed. I have an appointment with the OMC tech for the Outrage 18 next week. I hope I can get the boat out of the boat shed by then.

Bah Humbug.

I guess is bothers me a little bit... but not too much that winter is hanging on down south.

Here the robins have arrived, the yard is raked and the grass thatched, and black bears are coming out of hibernation.

The WILBUR is just about ready for the season. Topsides swabbed, Zodiac inflated, engine and generator fired up, and canvas installed.

We got our utility power restored last night, which was very much appreciated; with the air temperature around 29-degrees the house was starting to get a bit cool after 30-hours of no heat. This morning I awoke to a fresh coat of snow that fell over night--a Winter without end.

Had to cancel the camping here in SW Michigan due to the water at the Ft. Custer not being able to turn be turned on last weekend.
Jim, Wilbur looks good.
